Tip of the Month

To get the hands and backside working together, start at a tee and get to a stride position (normally as long as your bat).  Line the barrel above your hands so the knob is pointing to the catcher.

From there, rotate the back hip in a small direction so that all it does is get the hips activated.  From there, focus the chest over the zone and keep the hands working down and through the ball.  The hips and hands should create a SLINGSHOT effect for the barrel.

Always remember to work through the ball (aim for the pitcher each swing!)

Anatomy of a Hitter

In sports, like building a house, athletes are built on foundations known as "Fundamentals".  In hitting, we look at mechanics early on in our journey of development.  There's many different versions of hitters we see on a daily basis on tv.  With this book, we look into a foundational piece to keep us hitters in a simple position that allows us to compete in the box!

Anatomy of a Hitter provides that foundation while allowing you to create your own flavor (or style) to feel comfortable!
